Dark Nordic Ritual Music (songs from the old north)
Hljod is Old Norse for "sound" or "call". These are songs made as rituals: slow ascents of voice and choir, threaded with the cold patience of the old north.
Each song gathers around a figure from Norse myth, a goddess, a Norn, a sea-mother, a keeper of the threshold. The lyrics are sung in Icelandic, closest living echo of the language of the Eddas.
New song every Sunday.
A one-hour descent into the forgotten flame. Ritual of Seiðr (the Old Norse magic of seers and shape-changers), woven as a slow mass for the old ways.
